Frequently Asked Questions
|
Do you have
wedding packages?
We don't like that "one-size-fits-all" concept. This does not mean you will pay
more for your flowers; it means your
wedding will be custom-fit for your
tastes, needs, and
budget.
|
|
Do we pay more
for flowers when a wedding is
involved?
The short answer is, yes. When a
wedding is pre-booked with a florist,
the wedding flowers are also
pre-booked with our suppliers.
Because our industry revolves around
a wholesale flower auction, it is a
case of supply and demand.
Because any flowers required for your
wedding are a "must-have" selection,
our buyers usually end up paying more
for these specific flowers, and the
expense is passed along to you, the
consumer.
|
|
What flowers
are available at different times of
the year?
The floral industry is a huge,
international business and therefore
most flowers that you will require
for your wedding will be available
year-round, "locally" or as imports.
However, there are exceptions. Some
varieties that have limited, seasonal
availability include: Tulips,
Daffodils, Dahlia, Hyacinth,
Lily-of-the-Valley, Pansies, Gloriosa
Lily, Zinnia, Cosmos, Peony and
Sedum. Ask your wedding consultant
for details.

|
Can you
deliver my wedding flowers?
Certainly! We are happy to do so; we
just ask that you arrange this well
in advance.
|
|
Can you set up
my wedding floral decor?
We will be pleased to send our staff
to do the set-up for you. Once again
though, please book this service as
early as possible!
|
|
Does the date
of my wedding affect the price of my
flowers?
It can, yes. If you plan your
wedding around a floral holiday like
Valentine's, Mothers' day, Christmas,
or a summer long weekend, the prices
are generally higher. As mentioned
above, this is primarily due to the
way our industry functions. It is a
question of supply-and-demand.
|
|
How important
is it that I have a flower budget in
place?
Budgeting is an important part of
wedding planning. It provides the
realistic framework around which we
can design your wonderful floral
decor. We can help you with ideas and
suggestions, whether you just require
traditional bouquets, boutonnieres
and corsages, or if you also require
floral decor and accessories for the
ceremony and reception. Don't worry;
we'll help you along each step of the
way!
|
|
What is the
average cost for wedding flowers?
That's a tough question! If it's
just bouquets, boutonnieres and
corsages, it can range from $99 to
$500, depending upon how much and
what varieties of flowers are chosen.
If you also require ceremony and
reception decor and accessories,
along with delivery and set-up, you
can pay as much as $3,000 to
$5,000... and up. We suggest that you
let us know what you would like, and
we can make some creative suggestions
that will fit within your allotted
budget.
|
|
When should I
contact your Wedding Specialist?
We suggest an initial contact
immediately! Most wedding magazines
recommend 3-4 months in advance, but
our shop books many weddings a year
or more in advance. If it is to be
around a long weekend, early bookings
can be vital. We do multiple weddings
every weekend and we want to give you
the full attention you
deserve!
|
|
Do I need to
supply ribbon or any other materials
I would like used in my
wedding?
If you have something sentimental or
unique that you would like us to use,
we would be happy to incorporate it
into your wedding designs. Otherwise,
our shop can supply pretty much
anything you wish! If we don't have
it, we will "bend over backwards" to
find it for you!
|
|
Do I have to
know what I want for flowers
before my wedding
consultation?
Certainly not; most brides and grooms have
limited knowledge of flowers and
budgets. It is our job to walk you
through each decision to make sure
your choices will be proper
reflections of your tastes,
personality and your
pocketbook.
