Setting Your Wedding Theme
When planning the wedding, most couples pick a colour scheme but don't consider an overall theme. Take a few minutes and think of the style of wedding you would really like and maybe some special "milestone" memories that you might want to incorporate into your theme. Ask yourself a few questions like: - What is one of the passions that my fiancé and I share?
- Are you both "outdoorsy" types?
- Does the ocean inspire you?
- Have you traveled the country together?
- Did you meet at college, or on the ski hill?
- Do you follow Feng Shui?
- Are you both "into" cooking or specialty vintages?
- Do you both adore romantic, foreign countries?
- Are you Elvis "worshippers"?
- Do you picture yourselves in a very formal, or more casual, wedding?
Some of these questions may sound a bit odd, but we've accommodated these themes and more! You'd be amazed at where your romantic minds will take you when you start looking for a unique theme. For example, we've done several weddings in which the bride or the groom was a gourmet chef. Incorporating fresh fruits, herbs, and spices - in a particular cooking style - into the floral decor made these weddings very different and "custom-fit".
